eCollege: Pathbuilder Bug

May 14th, 2010

We’ve documented a bug with eCollege that will cause Pathbuilder to become inactive although it shows it enabled in your course admin settings.  Additionally, triggers and criteria set up within the course disappear.  This is a known issue by eCollege.

The good news is that there is a quick fix that not only re-enables your paths, but brings back your triggers and criteria as well.

The bug that disables your paths, is the use of double quotation marks (”) in discussion topic titles.  The double quotes may still be used in any other aspect of a discussion topic, just not the title.

Replacing the double quote (”) with a single quote (’) will re-enable Pathbuilder and bring back your triggers and criteria.
